MusicMaker2016 Live/Premium - Patch 22.0.4.70

browj2 wrote on 2/29/2016, 12:06 PM

DO NOT INSTALL THIS PATCH YET!

There is a new patch 22.0.4.70 that I noticed today, but Magix did not indicate what the changes were. The Soundpools database was emptied and there was no way for me to get any of it back. I reloaded MMM and tried again. Unsuccessful.

I have raised a ticket with Magix. If anyone else has already updated and has or does not have the same problem, please reply.

EDIT 2016.03.01 - I just noticed that Magix has put back the previous patch 22.0.3.63 in the downloads area, which would confirm that there is a problem with 22.0.4.70.

I'm waiting for a reply as to what to do.

Thanks,

For anyone who updated to 22.0.4.70, Magix has removed this patch and has advised users who have installed this patch to uninstall/reinstall MusicMaker and update to 22.0.3.63.

Hi

In addition to John CB's advise on re-installing ensure you remove any files / folders left behind in the following locations:

Delete any folders / files left behind relating to affected program that you find in the following folders (assuming you installed in the default location):

  1.   C:\Program files\Magix\ affected program

  2.   C:\Program files (x86)\Magix\ affected program

  3.   C:\ProgramData\Magix\ affected program - this is a hidden file so you may need to set Windows Explorer to show Hidden files.

Where 'affected program' is the version of Music Maker 2016 you installed

This will ensure you have a full clean install.

2016.03.14 - New patch 22.0.4.72 for MMM2016 Live, not sure about Premium, but they have the same motor.

Changes in Patch 22.0.4.72 compared to 22.0.3.63:

* Improvements to Live Pad functionality
* Panorama curve operable again
* enhanced harmony processing
* Crash which occurred when using title editor fixed
* improved practice when dealing with program crashes
* various bug fixes and improvements

I waited it out and updated from 22.0.4.70 to .72 and now have all of my Soundpools showing up.

Here is a video showing problems found quickly during testing of 22.0.4.72, in real time to show how long it takes to open an instrument.

Delay to open an instrument is still quite long. The yellow bar at the top is still problematic - the blue markers show up and don't go away. Double-clicking in a blank area does not extend the yellow bar over the song. I will advise Magix. If you have the same or other problems, please post them here and raise them with Magix.

Hi

@ John CB

Here is a unedited video (direct from Screencast-o-matic capture) of MMM 2016 Live patch 22.0.4.72 loading instruments on my i5 4670K PC using the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics - I suspect the problem is related to a graphics issue.

One day I will do a talkie, for now I included an on screen stopwatch as well for real time comparison.

I do get the same issue with the blue markers.

I have found the Screencast-o-Matic to be a great screen capture program which is lightweight on processor usage - so good I bought the Pro version !
