Music Visualizations

TrooperTru wrote on 7/8/2020, 7:06 AM

Quick question: Does the latest version of Magix Music Maker have audio visualizations (video effects that respond to the music)? I'm asking because the current version I have (2015) just has random video clips, and the version I had before (Music Maker 15) had actual visualizations. If the latest version has actual visualizations, I might consider buying it.

Hi

It does, however there is a missing file which means they cannot be used, this has been reported to Magix.

It also means you cannot add AVI or WMV video to a track.

. . . . I might consider buying . . . .

See this topic, and this topic for more issues with MMM 2021

You do not need to buy anything to get Music Maker 2021 - it's free. Try it without uninstalling any previous versions when asked. Activate old versions within the new version (I presume that this still works) to be able to get and use your previous features, presets, and instruments.

However, you may want to wait a bit until you see that there is a patch available.

Sorry, but that did not answer my question about whether or not it has audio visualizations (video effects that respond to the music).

TrooperTru wrote on 7/8/2020, 11:14 AM

@johnebaker

I almost don't care about not being able to add video files to it... but the visualizations - they will respond to the audio, right?

browj2 wrote on 7/8/2020, 11:35 AM

@TrooperTru

We won't be able to know until we can see something. We can't load a visual.

Is there an old one in particular that we can use as a test (when we are able to)?

My recollection is that the moving visuals, like the dancers, appeared to follow the beat, but that would mean thet MMM modifies the duration of the video itself, something that I'm not sure it could ever do. The moving visuals are actually video clips in Magix mxv format.

Hi

. . . . video effects that respond to the music . . .

IIRC the 'active' visualisations, .vis files were dropped and replaced with MXV video clips animations in MMM 2014.

If you have old .vis visualisation files it is unlikely that they will work with MMM 2021.

OK, hold on... So are you saying that the new 2021 version of MMM does not include any new visualizations -- that it mostly depends on what visualizations I have on my previous versions?
(Note: I used to have MMM15 with responding visuals, but not anymore; I only have MMM 2015 with random video clips.)

Hi John,

While we're on this topic, do you remember what was the app that the guy who put music under Media, bikerbmx or something like that, gave us for adding in backgrounds that would move to the music?

Hi John

I think it was bikerbmx, however there is no user of that name in the forum now.

IIRC he used a free app or online visualizer site.

Found it.

Capture the video while playing back your music, then add the video file to the music file in a video editor, or in MusicMaker.

For non-commercial use only, unless you make an agreement with the author.

Under Media, do a search for bikergsx to see how he uses it,
