Music Maker Premium Edition

Warren-Cowan wrote on 11/22/2018, 1:50 PM

Hi, Ive recently downloaded the free version of Music Maker and installed it without any hassles - everything working fine. The next day i decided to buy Music Maker Premium Edition and downloaded it. I also managed to install it successfully and even downloaded all my additional sound collections from the store without any hassle. My challenge i have is that it seems as if i still the free version because i can only see 3 instruments and 8 tracks. Can someone advise i possibly did something wrong in my installation or what;s the problem here. I also received the Music Maker 2019 Hip Hop Beat Producer Edition and when i installed this it confirmed that it will replace the current version of Music Maker which it did. however, i still only see 3 instruments and 8 tracks. My Version now states 27.0.0.16 after installing the Hip Hop Beat Producer Edition. On start up i keep getting the "Magix Low Latency 2016 message". I'm just concerned that if i uninstall everything and start over again which ive done about twice already, i am going to lose all the sound collections that i already downloaded. Can anybody help? Warren Cowan in South Africa. Thanks

Hi Warren,

There is only 1 "version" of MM. Free, Plus, Premium, and Special Editions all share the same base program. There is no need to install the program more than once. There was a new install when they went to 2019 (version 25 to 27. The current version, updated to the latest patch is 27.0.2.28. Make sure that you update to the latest patch under Help, Update program online.

After that, all you do is activate the various flavours, Plus, Premium, Special Editions, old version, Samplitude Music Studio versions by putting the activation code in the form. After that, you have to download and install everything to which you are entitled. See this tutorial:

https://www.magix.info/us/tutorials/how-to-unlock-functions-instruments-soundpools-and-presets--1200673/

Following that, go into the Store and look at the Instruments, Presets, Features and Soundpools. At the bottom of each page, you will likely see Balance and to the right the number of coupons that you can use. You have to select instruments, for example, and download and install them one by one. Each one uses a coupon. Same with Soundpools. Choose carefully.

When you have everything, to get more tracks, go to the Project settings (shortcut A) and under the first tab, select the number of tracks that you want. If you only have 8 and no options, you didn't download and install everything to which you are entitled. VST's are under Program settings (shortcut P), Folders tab. If you don't see that you can add VSTs at the bottom, you didn't download and install everything.

The Magix low latency message is because that is the audio driver that has been selected and loaded by default - under Program Settings.

@Tom-Bell
