Music Maker MX - converting MIDI to wav?

MovieMusicFan wrote on 6/8/2012, 4:18 PM

I am using Vita to make instrument loops, but the only fomat that it will save the finished piece in is .MID (MIDI). To use it as part of a soundpool, I need to make it a .wav file. How do I do this within Music Maker MX (standard version)?

NOTE: I am only using the synthesizer in Vita.

I do not have any actual instruments.

I do not have the Premium or Pro version of the software.

It's very simple...the same way you would convert anything else in the arrangement to a wav, etc.  It sounds like you're exporting from within Vita, which is how you save the MIDI information as a '.mid' file.

If you have more than one track, you can isolate any single track or loop as you see fit.  To convert a single track, isolate it by marking it to play 'solo' during the conversion.  Isolate single sections, or loops, using the Start and End markers to single out loops or samples.

File (menu) > Export > Audio as wav...

I looks like my mistake was to try and save as wav from inside Vita, which you cannot do. I have to go out to Music Maker MX and save from there. I will try that.

Thank you very much for your help!
