@John-Rudzinskas Why are you using ASIO4All instead of the Focusrite ASIO drivers?

I used the Focusrite ASIO drivers and they did not work either.

@John-Rudzinskas MIDI REC is activated in the track header?

John-Rudzinskas wrote on 8/4/2021, 9:18 AM

Yes, MIDI REC is activated and the MIDI activity light (under the volume control) shows activity when I press the keys, but no sound.

Updated to Version 30.0.1.23. Same problem.

@John-Rudzinskas

Which VSTi have you selected? Can you show a screenshot of the MM workscreen, especially the track headers (the left hand column).

@John-Rudzinskas

Hi

In addition to @emmrecs question - are you using headphones plugged into the Focusrite to listen to the VST instrument you are playing - if not how are you listening to the audio out from Music Maker?

Thank you. I don't know what has changed, but it is working. I'm not a novice. I've been working with Cakewalk / Sonar / Bandlab for over 20 years. I'm baffled. Thanks for your responses.

I wonder if same problem what I see too frequently is happening, aka. Magic ASIO driver is "not starting", and requires some twiddling to get it started.
