Music Maker 2021 Premium keeps crashing, among other audio problems.

Hello! This is my first post to this forum, so it's a pleasure to meet you all! For some background, I have used Music Maker for 7 years of my life, and I can proudly say that it is by far the greatest DAW I have ever used. I was truly looking forward to buying this version, but ever since I have, there has been a plethora of audio issues both with my computer, and the application itself. For starters, depending on which loop I use within the soundpool, the loop will sometimes emit a white noise static that can be heard even after exporting the song itself. (For example, the Metal Elysium soundpool collection's Crescendo 4 drum loop emitted a loud static noise upon exporting the song, leading to me having to remove the loop completely from the song.) This specific loop was not an issue in prior versions, as I have used Music Maker 2020 Premium Edition on steam, and it works perfectly. Another issue is that despite me using the ASIO driver setting and fixing audio buffering to prevent strange static sounds during MIDI creation, there is still static that plays during the song itself. Another strange issue, is that with a track list of 10 or more, the application crashes. This is an incredibly peculiar issue considering that when I used the previous 2020 version, I have made songs with 30 tracks without issue. If anyone has a solution to these issues, or has had these issues, please let me know. It has been really frustrating for me since I have bought this version, since my computer keeps saying that my audio driver can no longer be recognized sometimes, to it simply crashing due to the application experiencing some sort of memory leak. It truly hurts my soul to see such a beautiful program be like this, and I would love to see these issues fixed. For computational details, my current GPU is a NVIDIA GT 740, and I believe I have defaults on everything else. My computer runs on Windows 10 with the most recent update, and if any other information is needed then please let me know, and I will provide it.

@Melicoth

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

First, a much fuller set of details about your computer would be very helpful! This post will show you the level of information really needed.

Second, can you tell us exactly which version of MM you are running? You can check under Help>About ...

Third, I see mention in your post of steam so are you running the Steam edition of the app now?

And finally, assuming you are now using the latest, 2021, version of MM (version 29), have you seen this list of reported to Magix bugs?

@emmrecs

Hey Jeff!!! Thank you so much for the reply! Allow me to answer your questions separately.

1. Here are the full specs of my computer that were not listed in my previous post: PROCESSOR:AMD A10-5700 APU with Radeon HD.

GRAPHICS: 3.40 GHz

INSTALLED RAM: 12.0GB (11.9) USABLE

SYSTEM TYPE: 64 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM

2. I am currently using the most updated version, which is version 29.

3. I did run this version prior to purchasing this version without any issues, and to be honest, for now I do plan on using it again until the problems are fixed despite not having the new instruments and soundpools I purchased with the credits.

4. I did look at the list of reported bugs! Also, another issue I forgot to mention, while subtle, is that when I place a loop or audio loop into the track player on the right, it always slightly overlaps the measure bar. This never happened in previous versions, and even if it looks like it snapped perfectly into place, when I play back the audio I can definitely hear a difference, leading me to need to place them all back manually which is a pain with the scale of my songs. If there's a fix to this in settings then please let me know! :)
