That's a bit vague. I imagine you're audio settings are incorrect.

Hi

With the microphone plugged in :-

Check the Audio record settings are as shown below - click the Settings icon - arrowed in image below to open the settings dialog.

Arm the track for Audio rec for the track you want to record on as shown circled in the image below

Click the record button and record - you will not hear anything as you record.

On completion of recording set the track back to playback as shown in the image below, you should now hear your recording.

If that does not work, check your Windows Sound settings and ensure the microphone is detected and active.
