Music Maker 2013 Premium hangs at startup (initializing soundpool)

I have just bought and installed MMM 2013 Premium through internet and installed without problems. I have also Music Maker MX Production Suite installed.

After the installation and running for the first time, it hangs when "initializing soundpool". I have left it for 2 hours, but no changes. MX Production Suite works without problems.

I have the soundpools on a remote folder and I have a lot, but as the program didn't initialize, I didn't have a try to tell it where they are. It hangs the very first time. Tried rebooting without changes.

Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits. Intel Quadcore. 8 Gb RAM. Nvidia GTX 460.

Your computer Specs seem fine.  I just had a similar problem with a brand new application from another company in that it would not get past one of the initialization modules.  It turns out that my AV app had been running and had picked up some malware.  As soon as I dealt with that problem, paused the scan, the application finished the whole proces and ran just fine.  I just thought I would mention it because it just happened to me.

If that does not work, you may wish to consider uninstalling the application, download the installer again then re-installing it.  I usually use the free version of Revo Uninstaller to uninstall applications as it removes many traces that the windows uninstaller leaves behind.

Thanks. I have Eset Smart Security always enabled, but will try an hd scan.

Hi,

Eset is one of the very few security apps that I am not very familiar with.  I ususally try the top 5 or 6 every year before renewing my Kaspersky subscription.  In the last 3 years Kaspersky has always provided the best results in my opinion.  I will no longer even look at Symantec/Norton or McAfee.  I have never tried Eset because they usually rank 7 or 8 and I don't have time to test everything. 

If this does not work out for you please do try the revo free uninstaller.  And then download the application again and re-install it.

I have scanned all my PC (more than 5 hours) without any positive result (no malware, no virus).

I have uninstalled using revo as you have kindly said and reinstalled mmm 2013 premium trial.

Same result.

On the other hand, I have seen that, the installation procedure dissapears after installing the program when it seems it needs to install the soundpool trial. Simply it vanishes. I have tried to reinstall the soundpool and it happens the same way, without installing them. I think the problem is there.

Restarted Firebird services without changes.

I can understand your frustration.

Remember, it is better not to use same program with different versions on the same computer such as Music Maker 2013 and Music Maker MX Production Suite. Also MMM 2013 premium trial. If you have un-installed mmm 2013 premium trial that is good. I assumed you have purchased download version of Music 2013 Premium. And when you talk about soundpool you mean the soundpool for the Music maker but not Soundpool DVD collection or else purchased separately.

As you have said in this posting you have found soundpoool in the documents folder. The question is why would soundpool be installed in the document folder than Music Maker default folder name should be some thing like Basic_2013 and rest of the Genres will be inside this folder.

It seems this soundpool path is creating problem(I could be wrong)therefore, if you want to know the exact path where soundpool should be. Click "Y" or "P" key to open program settings. Y key was used in older version and I think in MMM 2013 it should be "P" key.  Or if you know how to open program setting please do that. Then click the FOLDER tab locate soundpool path.  Folder name and correct path are important.

As you got two software installed on the same computer Music Maker 2013 and Music Maker MX Production Suite. I will suggest please disable Mx Production suite then run Music maker 2013 and see if that works properly or not.

EXTRA PRECAUTION: IN SOME CASES WE CAN INSTALL SOFTWARE ONLY THREE TIMES. THEREFORE BE CAREFUL.

J'ai aussi le même problème que vous depuis 3 jours avec le MMM MX Premier 2013 et avec les 6000 samples (19) : c'est la vérification après le 100% et à 39% , c'est bloqué  : je redémonte et je remets les 2 logiciels 2013 et c'est toujours pareil ........

Est-ce que vous avez la réponse ??    Merci !

I know some french, but last line "je redémonte..." I don't fully understand. You mean that you have uninstalled them?

not diffecultly to say the same pool on an differend tower, whats thats brunch for dick...

perhaps to big to resample it as soundpool ore it come to fast ..

at last if it come´s in an taktly way...
