Is there no entry at all in the MIDI input device drop-down list in the Music Maker program settings at all? I suppose you're connecting the keyboard via USB. In this case, please make sure the keyboard is properly detected by the operating system and the necessary drivers have been installed. If there are any USB hubs or extension cords in the connection, you might want to try removing these, especially passive USB hubs (i.e. no built-in power supply), otherwise a reliable USB connection and power supply of your keyboard cannot be guaranteed. Also, try removing other USB devices that might conflict with the keyboard and its drivers. Especially Logitech webcams are well-known troublemakers when it comes to operating other USB audio devices.
If you're still having problems, maybe you can supply more accurate information about the keyboard you're using and what operating system you're running. You might want to contact Magix technical support directly about this.
Hi,
In addition to what Ralftaro said... we want to be sure your keyboard is working correctly as a midi device. Follow Ralftaro's instructions and then to verify - play a midi file (do NOT use Music Maker for this!)
You should hear audio through your keyboard. Also make sure it's your preferred MIDI device in your Windows Control Panel Sound applet.
Your HuaXing keyboard may appear as "Composite Midi Device" in the drop down menus - if this selection appears choose it.
