@emmrecs is correct - to put the answer in a different way - you can install on as many PC's as you like, however only 2 can be active at any one time.
If you want to use a third PC then one of the 2 activated ones must be deactivated - you will be warned about this and asked to deactivate one before the 3rd PC installation can be activated and used.
If you require more than 2 PCs active at any one time then you must purchase extra activation slots (equivalent to buying another licence)
If your "second install" is to a computer running an up to date version of Windows 10, given the age of your version I doubt whether it will function properly, if at all.
I have space to activate another device but the serial number iss not being accepted to activate the second device. The error code is -14 How can I get my second device activated?
When you first had to activate the program you would have had to create a personal user account with Magix.
You need to log into that account using your original email address and password which at the time you would have been reminded to keep your details safe.
Once in you can de-register one of the active programs to free it up to place on a second machine and generate a new activation code.
Maybe Anne was typing the second post while I typed to reply to her first.
I think you have to generate the second key by activating the second slot. I've never had two copies registered myself. Notice each machine will have a different device name and ID.
@AAProds@CubeAce Hi - thanks Alwyn for mentioning that. I am perhaps a bit 'lingo' challenged when it comes to this :) And Ray...there was no way to activate the second slot. Nothing to click. I installed the software on the second laptop that is going to be used for editing. I used the serial number that is listed for the first device but then the pop-up window says the serial number is already in use. So I am stuck.
Sorry for late reply but the server seemed to be down for a while at my end.
Try getting into contact with Magix using the contact technical support link at the bottom of that page you showed in your image and giving them the same information you have supplied here. Do not expect an immediate reply. It may take a couple of days.

Ray.
Thanks so much - I'll do that today. At least I know I'm not going crazy ;) haha! Have a great day!
