Multicore support. Cores vs Logical processors.

Hello

My computer has an Intel i7-6700 processor. It has 4 cores and 8 logical processors.

Samplitude ProX7 defaults to 8 in the multicore support setting. I am guessing it detects what hardware I am using.

Should multicore support be set to 4 or 8? ...why?

When comparing the performance of the CPU in the task manager it seems there is about 5% less strain on the CPU if multicore is set to 4.
