MS 2025 Can not install extra content

New install Movie Studio 2025 Platinum, Win10. After selecting Help menu/Install Extra Content
Unable to select the tick boxes in the pop-up UI. Clicking does not work. just makes 'bong' sounds

tried logging out and logging back in with desktop Admin account ...same outcome as per user account.

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

Anything you can't tick means it is already installed.

They should show up in the effects and templates sections of the programs. The effects section may have additional download needs depending on what your version of the program came with whatever third party offerings were present at the time of purchase.

You may have to create additional accounts at the third party sites to then activate those packages.

Welcome to the Magix users forums.

First, have you registered and activated your installation of MMS 2025? If so, did you receive an on-screen confirmation of this?

Second, it is possible that your firewall/antivirus is blocking your connection to the Magix servers. Try temporarily disabling either or both of them and try again to download the extras.

Finally, it is not unknown for those server to have errors and be unavailable! In that situation there is no alternative other than "keep trying"!

Please let us know if none of these suggestions work for you.

Hi Phillip,

As @CubeAce noted, you already have all the Templates and effects installed.

You can see this in the description.

If you ever have problems with one or more Templates and/or effects, go to: Apps > Installed apps>Magix Movie studio (Templates and effects) and remove them from there. If you then go back to help / install extra content, you can check the removed template or effect again and install it.

In my example it says Magix Video deluxe Premium, but it is the same as Magix Movie studio Suite

...doh! Did not actually read what was in the dialogue box.
....Just assumed that a tick in the box was needed to 'verify' the package as being installed.
