mpg4 without sound

Greg123 wrote on 1/30/2016, 2:17 PM

after updating from win8 to win 10 I reinstalled my Movie Edit 14 plus but, cannot use it fully because mpg4 files are without sound on the timeline. I also didn't know that I can only activate dolby codec TWICE so I had to buy it but, still mpg4 ( from my phone, that were OK with win8) are with no sound. What should I do now?

please help

Hi

Do you mean Movie Edit 14 plus (MEP 14) or Movie Edit Pro 2014 Plus (MEP 2014)?

If MEP 14 then this is a very old version and is not compatible with Windows 10.

If MEP 2014 then please use the full name to avoid confusion with the earlier version.

Check the programs settings (Y key) that the Import video with sound option is checked on the Video / Audio tab

Was MEP installed before the upgrade?

If so did you follow steps 1 and 2 of  this tutorial before upgrading to Windows 10 and steps 3 onwards after upgrading?

thanks for answer,

yes, I should have clarified this: I have Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus, there is NO import video with sound on Video/Audio tab, there is "automatically copy exported video and audio to the". All other video file (.MTS from my video camera) play OK, I will try your fixing from your tutorial.

and YES - on win8 everything was OK
