MPEG2 issue

I have bought the Video Easy Rescue Your Video Taper Version 8.0 sw.5.0.3.113 some time ago but never installed it until today, so I registered it and the registration was confirmed successful.

When installing the dongle I was asked to activate the MPEG-2 encoder which I tried to do by clicking the "Activate MPEG2 Encoder" button but got message ”activation failed”. I have the administrator rights on my Windows 10 Pro laptop. Do I need a separate activation code for the MPEG2 and how do I obtain it and install it?

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

MPEG-2 Encoder activation is normally "automatic" once you click on that "Activate" button. The error message may simply indicate a problem with the activation server; how many times did you try to complete the process?

As far as I know, there is no method by which the user can "manually" activate this encoder so if, after trying again for up to, say, 24 hours without success, you need to email infoservice@magix.net and ask for their help in resolving this problem.
