Hi.

It is MPEG-4 FULL Codec Upgrade which was bought in january 2020 to Movie Edit Pro Premium 2019.  After upgrade MEPP to latest version there isn't option to activate this codec. By the way - yestreday I bought HEVC Codec Upgrade (H265 Intel) which works ok.

With the Premium version of the program, whether 2019 or 2022 version, there are no other codecs to purchase other than the HEVC codec, and the only other codec that was not installed by default was the MainConcept codec which did not require a fee for activation.

What was in the MPEG-4 FULL Codec Upgrade or which import/export formats does it provide ?

Hi.

If you are referring to what I think you are referring to, it was for the MPEG-4 FULL Codec Upgrade (Main Concept) codec which is no longer usable in the latest version of Movie Edit Pro. It has been removed. I think Magix no longer holds a volume licence for the product but it may be worth raising a ticket with Magix to confirm.

I think this is the case though because the program now has no place within the program settings to swap the codec used. (The option to swap the codec in use used to appear on the last tab of the program settings and is no longer there).

Thanks for the information - I have removed your order number from your post.

The serial number code is that of the old MainConcept encoder - this, as @CubeAce has commented, is no longer supported in MEP 2022.

The MC codec is old (2012?) and is not necessary for exporting to MP4 file with h.264 encoding, the default codec offers the same export formats/encoding, the only difference is there are fewer more obscure options to adjust, the presets are already optimised for quality vs file size.

Thanks everyone for informations and answering. My suppositions on this issue was confirmed. Now I have to learn to use new version Edit Pro Premium 2022 with HEVC codec.😁

I have MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus - Version 20.0.1.80 (UDP3) UG code 8452 KA1

I believe this a 2021 version... I hadn't used it much.. the 2016 version was just fine for my limited needs, however, after producing a couple of simple movie slide shows, for some reason the program won't start (initialization file missing?) So I recalled purchasing this newer version in December of 2020 only used it limited in early 2021 because I had more command of the old version. Now I'm forced to use it to complete a project but ran into the problem where the features aren't fully operational and led into buying this mainconcept codec for $4.99.

so I did it and got this email back:

MPEG-4 FULL Codec Upgrade with an activation code....
 

Will this work with the 2021 program or is the whole thing oboslete and I was just scammed out of 5 bucks? I'm not getting access to the features after trying to update this codec.
