"MPEG-2 Codec" is not available... due to licensing

Hi

I have just installed the Magix Video Pro X 1.5 (Trial).

The problem I encounter is that when I try to load *.MPG files I get an error message "Unfortunately, the function 'MPEG-2 Codec' is not available due to licensing conditions."

I ran Magix Edit Pro 15 successfully before on the same PC without difficulties.

How can I overcome this?

Thanks,
Haile

Hi there Haile.

what I heard, things have tightened up, and there is indeed a licensing problem if you include an MPEG2 codec in a trial version. Think NERO are doing the same??
If you have Vista Home Premium, then the MPEG2 codec should work.

I don't think it's in the current trial version of 15 either, unless it's not been amended yet.

Not a lot you can do, sorry.
