MPEG-2 codec activation fails.

I can't burn DVDs using Magix Video Easy HD. An MPEG-2 codec activation is needed. But neither online nor offline activation works. I have administrator rights but nevertheless the error message indicates lack of system privieges. I can't remember any problems with this program before but I have not used it for some time and in the meantime I have upgraded from Vista to Win7. Can that be part of the problem?

The upgrade could be part of the issue. Is there a way that you can process or register the codec again?

If not, then you might need to contact the MAGIX customer service. I also found this on the customer service page, maybe it will help.

I reran the installation, chose option Repair, and the next time I started the program I could activate MPEG-2 codec online without any problem. So to me it seems that the Win upgrade in some way was responsible for the problem.
