Greetings,
For the past couple of days I've been stitching together some MP4 clips taken on a Sony phone in 2015 which was a few years old at the time. The quality is reasonably appalling and all are with variable frame rate, which MS2025 not surprisingly does not like.
I've used the usual remedy of re-encoding to constant but frankly this makes the "reasonably appalling" extremely appalling.
I've mentioned on here that I've used MyMP4Box for demuxing and remuxing various video and audio clips so I put one of the clips through it - demuxed the audio and video and simply remuxed straight away. MS2025 loves it.
Getting the Mediainfo data shows the demuxed/remuxed video to be constant frame rate. There are some differences, Bitrate being the main one I can see even though the file was NOT re-encoded.
This is yet another dark art to me and I don't understand why this could be but I'm a happy bunny at the moment.
I don't have any other variable frame rate clips; if someone out there has some could they try this please?
