MP4 file does not load

I have Magix Movie Edit Pro 2016... 64bit Windows 8 ...

Why doesnt it load MP4 movies!? (I get error saying it cant read them) . Do I have to go buy yet another piece of softeware to reslove this, or can MAGIX provide a solution?
Seems to me that such a sophisticated product should have this essential feature ( Ability to read in an MP4 file) Please help!

Hi,

Use Media info software can be downloaded free to test your MP4 file ( MediaInfo) . Probably a codec lack or a specify codec.
