Movie Studio Platinum 2025 question

So I got an ad for Movie Studio Platinum 2025. I currently have 2016, but I have a few questions before deciding to upgrade.

Subtitles. Is this version able to output subtitle files, or have them part of the video file (not burned-in, though)? I don't think 2016 has either option. Also, how can I create them? I do fan edits of movies with existing subtitles; can I import (and edit) those? The ad says voice to text; would the text be able to generate from the audio in the project?

Would I be able to upscale video, like from SD to pseudo-HD (I know you can't get true HD from lower-quality sources)?

Finally--and I probably already know the answer--but is it compatible with my old projects?

@Frodawgg If you're talking about Movie Studio 16 then that is Vegas Movie Studio, Magix Movie Studio 2025 is a totally different program, It is not & has never been an upgrade from Vegas Movie Studio.

The correct upgrade would be to Vegas Pro Edit 21,

This is Vegas Pro 21, it should look & feel a lot like your Movie Studio 16,

This is Magix Movie Studio 2025, like I say a completely different program.

Subtitles -

Magix Movie - No, it doesn't do this & can't export with an alpha channel so any subtitles created would have a black background,
Vegas Pro - Yes, there's a couple of options. ask on the Vegas forum, i'll put the link lower down.

Voice to text -

Would be through the Hub, I believe both programs have similar options.

Compatible with my old projects -

Magix Movie - No, like I say completely different programs, there is a little bit of transference or they used to be but on the whole I'd say no

These are my pics from my Vegas Pro 21,

You will have the upgrade to Vegas Pro option in the Magix website purchase options because you have an earlier version, & if you did upgrade to Vegas Pro you would feel like you were upgrading not buying a completely different program like you would if you bought Magix Movie Studio 2025.

You're not the first person to come on here thinking they're upgrading when offered Magix Movie Studio 2025 when they're most def not.
