Movie Studio 2022 Suite entry point not found

I just bought Movie Studio 2022 suite I also have Movie Edit Pro 2021 I installed but when I went to start all it will say is the procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll. I use Windows 7.. What to do?

The system specifications for Movie Studio 2022 suite say that Windows 8 or above is required. I think MEP 2021 did as well - I can’t remember, I use MEP 2022.

I think your error message you mention has something to do with needing the right version of DirectX - which I believe Windows 7 does not have.

I am afraid I think the only solution would be for you to upgrade to a supported operating system (Windows 10 64bit recommended).

Do not upgrade to MEP 2022 either for the same reason as @Former user has given

Movie Studio 2022 is based on MEP 2022 with the addition of being able to import older Vegas Movie Studio v17 and earlier projects (basic edits only).

The 2 products will be merged and branded as Magix Movie Studio (MVS) see the first post here.

In addition to Promidi's comment about upgrading to a supported version of Windows, your graphics card/chipset must support DirectX 12 - and the rest of the computer specs preferably exceed the minimum required - I have linked to the MEP specs MVS is the same.

Hey does anybody know how to contact anybody at Magix to get a refund since I won't be able to use the new program and I didn't see it anywhere when in advertisement ..

I mean.. even just to contact anybody using anything on the website has me searching >. I can't find a email, online or any form of contact outside of the public forum.. How can I even ask for a refund and I don't have any way of contacting anybody...??? What's going on..

Hi,

Click on Support at the top of this forum, select Returns, Search for other solutions, Type in Return MEP for refund - not compatible with Windows 7 Search, scroll down and select Send a support request. Your search term will be the subject of the ticket. Fill in the details. Ask for refund and how to get back to MEP2021. The rest should be obvious.

Why not just post the freaking email address somewhere that is EASY TO FIND instead of making us navigate and sign in, search through several layers of links just to find an EMAIL ADDRESS? Why did I have to come to this forum in the first place just to find a simple EMAIL ADDRESS and CONTACT information? Why are these menus so hard to navigate in this forum and why is it so hard to even be able to have a basic conversation where I have to also log in and navigate overly complex menus just to anybody...

I have to tell you that it makes the customer experience feel very dodgy and I've been a fan of Magix since its first generation of software.. Open up.. Become easier to reach and stop hiding your EMAIL ADDRESSES and contact information so deep in website.. It shouldn't be this hard to begin with.

This is user forum, not Magix Support. I do not give out my email addresses or contact information.

I gave you explicit instructions that take about 10-15 seconds to get to the page to raise a ticket.

Also, the specs for MEP2022 clearly state the equipment and OS requirements. You should have taken a minute to check them before purchasing, especially knowing that you have an OS that is very much out of date and is no longer supported. This applies to any software that you purchase.

About 99% of users have questions that have already been answered- many, many times. As someone who has made a lot of tutorials, I did them because of repeated user questions. Still, there are those too lazy to watch and want a reply just for them as they are special; I point them to the tutorials anyways. Magix has the same problem, thus they want users to at least take a look at the FAQ's and do a minimal search for a response. If none, then you get to the end where you raise a ticket, which is not an email. I gave you simple instructions so that you could bypass that the FAQ's, etc. So, where is my thank you? Why do I bother helping people?

Obviously, you have to log in, otherwise how would Magix know who you were? When you raise a ticket, you get an immediate email reply with a ticket number so that both you and Magix can follow up. BTW, when I am logged in to the forum, I don't have to log in again to raise a ticket.

The email address can be found both on the Magix website in the purchase section and in your user manual which can be accessed via the program to the 'Help' section or by going into the programs Help / About Magix Movie Studio then at thee base 'Support' section it will give you a country specif email address or you can use the generic. infoservices@magix.net.

Yes, I get that the email address for Magix is buried in those two locations on the web site when it should be 1 click from the main page of your site.. aka like most sites, you can click on "Contact Us" and you can find phone numbers, emails and even sometimes contact people online and talk through the website portal..

At this stage, I simply want to stop hearing excuses and see somebody fix the website so that contact information is much more prominent as an important part to future sales.. Yes, I want a refund on this product but I've also invested thousands of dollars since the 90's when I use to by Magix loops and software on CD's..

In the end, I should think its in your best interest because positive customer experiences will only help your business in the long run.. Take care.

There are no Magix staff either answering questions or responding to users on this forum. They may look in form time to time but we have no way of knowing.

Even the moderators here are long time users of the forum, not Magix employees. So it is not my site or anyone else's that uses the Magix forum to find answers. The only help here is from other users.

We have no say or sway of Magix policies or any other way to contact them other than the same access you now possess.
