@Ron-Thomas

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The .dll file which is referenced in your screenshot is a core Windows file and so I would suggest your first action should be to check the integrity of your Windows installation.

To do this you need to run the command sfc /scannow. If you're not sure how to do this the following is one method:

  1. Right-click on the Start icon (bottom left corner of your desktop screen) and select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  2. Once it is open its last line should read C:\WINDOWS\system32> with a blinking "dot".
  3. Type sfc /scannow
  4. Allow the process to run, it may take some minutes.
  5. At the end it will tell you that either it found no problems, or that it did find problems and at least attempted to resolve them!

Close the PowerShell window and try again to run your MS18 project.

If that still fails I think you may need to create a Support Ticket, via the Support heading on this forum page, always taking care to complete fully every subsequent page and always selecting the option to Ask Support.

@Ron-Thomas

Hi

The error message indicates there is a problem with MSVCR120.dll which is a Windows component.

Try the following in order proceeding to the next step if the issue is still there.:

  1. Restart, not a shutdown, the computer - Windows button, Power option, Restart.

  2. Delete the contents of this folder C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Common\Cache then start the program.

  3. See this Support article and re-install the Microsoft .NET framework.
