movie studio 18 freezes as soon as i select a 3d text

ive only had the software a couple of days after getting really disappointed that its nothing like 17 I ventured on only to find every time no matter what I do the program just freezes every time I select any animated or static 3d font for a title ... any help would be appreciated I already feel let down my system id a ryzan 6 3500 64 gig ram 1 gig m2 for graphics and a 2070 64 gig gfx card

Hi Peter.

Welcome to your first official post to the user to user forums.

I'm assuming that 2070 GPU is an nvidia card?

If so check your Project Settings on the Device options tab to ensure the nvidia card is selected for all of the following and do it before opening a project. Import. Processing. and Export.

Other things that can cause freezing.

Using One Drive or another folder that is cloud based to put projects in.

Having projects reside on the desktop or the C: drive.

Using an external drive that is not fast enough on less then a USB 3 port.

Having a slow additional internal drive with a low amount of drive cache.
