Movie studio 17 on windows 10

I finally am having to switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10. My movie studio 15 badly lost audio synch in rendering on Windows 10. After flailing for a while, I took the offer to upgrade to movie studio 17 in hopes that the problem had been solved. After more weeks of flailing I finally submitted a tech support request. The basic reply was that Movie Studio 13 was recommended for Windows 10! Indeed it works. Why am I being offered and sold releases of the product that don't work on my OS?

@Parker-Ashurst

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums for non Vegas products.

First and foremost, there are no Magix staff present on the forums beyond the odd announcement from them.

Second no-one here can comment on past Vegas releases.

If you are referring to Movie Studio 18 (not 13 as you described it) then yes that is now a Magix version taking over from Vegas Movie Studio 17 of which the Vegas developers have now dropped developing.

So Magix Movie Studio 18 is now a reworked version of Movie Edit Pro, a Magix based editor which should in the future be able to open previous projects from earlier Vegas Movie Studio versions but this is still an ongoing development, not totally finished compatibility wise as I understand it.

So in short I doubt if anyone here knows the answer to your question. You will have to contact Magix of Vegas support directly for an answer.

Ray.
