Movie Studio 17.0 keeps crashing adding clips to project

Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum keeps crashing whenever I try to add video clips to the project. How do I get a refund? I've already spent 2 days on this. I don't want to spend any more. I'm using Windows 10 Pro. I ran Adobe Premiere Pro no problems on this computer (which I have uninstalled)

Processor: Intel Core i5-46CPU @ 3.40GHz

System type: 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor

Installed Ram: 16GB

Terry, I noticed the date on yours and I have the same product. It started crashing today as well. Here is a video I made.

It's possibly a problem caused by a recent Windows Update but anyway please refer to the Important Posts at the top of this forum page for direction to the Vegas forum as Vegas products have their own forum.

Hi Terry.

I have VMS 16 and it is not crashing adding clips so possibly not a Windows update but you do need to go to the Vegas forums and not here for advice. Vegas is not my main editor and I have it only out of curiosity.

The mods will close this thread eventually because this forum website is not for the Vegas product line.

Few if any of us here use it as our main video editor.

Ray.

@CubeAce It's only clips with 5 channel stereo that are affected and only Vegas not MEP or VPX as they handle 5ch differently. Anyway when the posters get to the Vegas forum there is plenty there on it.
