Hi Guys just bought the movie score program and wondering I have only drum Synths in the Instruments and no option to add my vst one? can you help please??? newbie
I am not sure about what is your issue so i answer 2 cases :
1) If you have bought an instrument from the store of Magix , you mau use in diplaying the right lateral pan ( press F2 ) and and choosing the tab named "instruments"
2) If you have got a VST instrument from elsewhere ( for instance , Kontakt , some SFZ soundfont player , etc ... ) you need to add the folder where i your VST instrument : display the setteings ( Press "P" , or menu File / Settings / Program Settings ) , , and in the new window , go to the tab named "Folders" . Press the "Add VST Plugin Path" and choose the path of your VST
As far as I know, the specialty MusicMaker editions are very basic and do not have VST capability. You can check under Program settings, the Folders tab, for buttons near the bottom - Add VST plug-in path, Reset VST plug-in information.
Did you down download everything under the Help menu, Update program/Update functions, Download free synthesizer and sound packages? If not, then do so. You may have more instruments coming, like Vita.
The Instruments section in the pop-out doesn't work. You CAN'T send it to your MxSynth folder under Magix>Common>MxSynth to get your VSTs. There is NO link for "Get more Instruments". and the Search doesn't work. NOTHING in 2018 Premium works. It's not even 1/4 built. Is Music Maker 2018 Premium a very late April Fools joke by Magix?? It is TOTALLY unusable!!! When you activate it you get the error "You already own all content from this serial number. You can download this from the Store".
Your reply has nothing to do with the original question or the special version of MusicMaker Score Edition.
Start your own thread and show some details. Also, look at other messages about the new version and you will see that most of your questions have been answered or discussed.
What part of your OWN post didn't you understand??
If Music Maker 2018 Premium mirrors the same problems as your post (and doesn't even HAVE a VST plug-in path), then it can, by YOUR OWN criteria, be a "special version".
Nowhere in my previous post do I mention MusicMaker Premium. MusicMaker Premium has VST capability, special editions, like the one purchased by the OP do not. Your problem is about Premium, not Score Edition. Also, Score Edition only comes with one instruments, according to Magix.com website.
BTW, Magix instruments are not real VST instruments in that they cannot be used by third party programs; they are proprietary. Thus any properly installed Magix instruments, except those bought through the 2018 Store, it seems, will show up and can be used by other Magix audio products such as MusicMaker (all types), MusicStudio, Samplitude MusicStudio, and Samplitude. Third party VSTi's such as those from DSK (32 bits versions), will not work in basic versions of MusicMaker or the Special Editions (which are just the basic edition) because there is no VST capability.
