Movie Not Exporting

bcollinsworth85 wrote on 12/28/2012, 7:15 AM

I'm using Movie Edit Pro 2013, everytime I go to export my movie, the screen freezes. A file will be created where I told it to export, but either the file has only a few seconds of the video or none at all. I have tried every quality setting, and still the same thing. I have to show this video at a Big Birthday Party tonight, so PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! Thanks.

Hi,

Is it only this particular project that causes the freeze? Or do you get it with all projects? Even a single JPG? Or a single video clip?

If it is just this Big Birthday project then it's clearly something unique to that. So you need to try isolating the cause. To identify problematic or corrupt project content, I often use the 'halving method'. Divide the project roughly into two and then export one of the halves. If it freezes then halve it again and repeat, and again and again until you can take a close look at the apparent problem object.

But it's just as likely to be a settings issue, either in the Export dialog or elsewhere in Program Settings. Not just the 'quality setting' that you mention. So here again you need to be sure the previous projects you've exported successfully were at the same settings as this one. Also, you've not specified what type of file you're trying to export. Have you tried alternatives?

You might also try 'Reset program settings to defaults' and restart MEP.

And as MEP2013 has bugs concerning Hardware Accelleration, try changing the display mode:
