I am interested in purchasing the 2013 movie editor pro, can you import your own audio from a CD or DVD to add to the movie being worked on or are the included soundtracks the only soundtracks which can be used?
You can use the included sound tracks or you can import your own. The only files you will likely have problems with are any iTunes music becasue it has built in copy protection which you can get around, but that is another topic.
A quick addition to grandjcarr's reply: Not only can you import, you can have many audio tracks and do whatever mixing you want on the editing timeline. Suggest you download the free trial version -- limited only by time and some codecs (MPEG4 IIRC) that are only available after purchase and registration due to licensing restrictions. A definite recommendation is to get at least the 'Plus' version for added features like 3D, multicam and 5.1 surround sound editing.
