Movie Edit Touch and WP8

Hi,

I just purchased Movie Edit Touch app for Windows 8, and since it is a native app for Windows 8 I thought it supported also standard video format from Windows Phone 8 like for example Nokia Lumia series.

Am I doing something wrong?  I can play those videos with the OS but not even open them in this app.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi

Unfortunately there is no . . . . standard video format from Windows Phone 8 like for example Nokia Lumia . . .

Because it is a Windows 8 OS on the phone does not mean that the video format is supported by Windows 8 on a tablet or PC.

Many phone manufacturers quote that their video format is, for example h.264. mp4 or mov, standard however they often use non standard options within that format so that the video is only readable, and possibly convertable,  by the software that came with the phone.

You have actually wrong, well right also. But wrong in that way Nokias video format is "de facto" standard for Windows mobile platforms in total. If you do not support this format you do not have to support any kind of mobile Windows platform since Nokia (well know Microsoft since they are bought up) is a huge mobile producer with Windows Phone 8.

Nokia Lumia videos works just fine, even perfect, in Windows 8. It is only your app that doesn't manage that format at all.

I think that is sad, and even with your response, I will not higher Microsoft Store score until you atleast gives a better answer.

But I will change the score at once I see any kind of better response from you or changing in your product support for the biggest mobile video format in WP8.

Thanks again in advance

Hi

I should point out that this is a user forum not Magix support.

For more information I would suggest you email support at Magix with your query.
