movie edit pro plus will not download!!!!

my computer crashed so now i want to install movie edit pro plus on a second device but the installer will not download it. it never gets past 0% i tried using a vpn but that didnt help, i also disabled all firewalls and that didnt work either. wish i could contact someone over the phone or even email but i dont have the patience to figure that out on the Magix site. just too much information to read through to get any help. hoping someone here can help. i have windows 10 on a pc just like the one that crashed. :(

Did you temporarily disable any anti virus program you may have and windows defender?

Hello. I am trying to install movie edit pro 2021 plus but the installer will not download it. I have disabled antivirus and disabled firewalls but no luck. I dont get any error codes at all. It simply displays the magix square box with magix and music maker checked off for download and when i press continue, a little circle pops up next to magix as if it gathering information or getting ready to download. Then nothing. And then the continue button can be pressed again only for the same results to happen. Nothing. The programs remain at 0 percent. I am running windows 10 as i was with the other machine that crashed on me . This is why i am trying to put it on a new computer. I should mention that i did have this issue before with my other pc. However disabling the firewalls or using a vpn did the trick. I cant remember which one was successful. I have done both this time around with no success. I am also physically located in mexico. When i was originally using the program i was in the United States. However like I said earlier I have had the same problem when I upgraded last year. I figured being in a different country had something to do with it so I used the VPN and I'm pretty sure that's what let me download it the last time however it's not working this time.

Firewall is usually not the issue, it is the Antivirus Ransomware/Folder protection feature that can cause the issue

If you antivirus is not Microsoft Defender and you have disabled it, you will also have to disable Microsoft Defender - it will be active, before trying to download.

A similar issue from another user was caused by their ISP's 'safe list' blocking the download - does your ISP have black and safe (white) lists for Internet access?

Hi everyone just wanted to let everyone know that I fixed the issue I just needed to use a different VPN. It's downloading now I'm using proton VPN didn't want to pay for the express VPN that I used last time LOL I'm pretty sure the issue is that I'm in a different country than I was when I originally first started using magics back in 2014
