Movie Edit Pro Encoding problem

Hi, I am having a problem with Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus when trying to burn the movie. After editing the video and then preparing it with menus etc, I then proceed to burn it to a dual layered disc so I know that there is plenty of space. The program begins to encode the video but fails every time at the same place, approx 33min into the process. I get an error saying that the program has stopped working and get the option to report the fault and check for a solution, or just restart the program. I can then restart the burning process where it left off, and it will complete the burning process, but only half of the dvd will play. I have a HP550 laptop, dual core intel celeron 2.0GHZ processor and have 3gb RAM. I am running Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit.

Any suggestions how I can fix this?

Hello,

Can you burn successfully to a single layer disc?

Hi,

I must admit, I haven't tried to burn to a single layer disc.

I have tried to save the project as an ISO file on my PC but it failed in exactly the same way. I did manage to start saving it as an MPEG 2 file but it was up to 20GB in size and hadn't finished converting so I stopped it. The following is what the error says:
