Hi I want to use 3Pic Effect N°5 but the pictures should be displayed much quicker.

Tried to unchain the grioup and work on the different tracks but did not succeed as iut messes the whole effect.

There must be a away to set the total duration of the effect...

Please help.

Hi,

Since the parameters of the collage are pre-set, you would have to change all of the elements of the effect, including where it is on the time line, the the key frames, etc.  a lot of work.

The fastest way I can think of is to take the grouped collage, export it as a video file, bring it back into the project, then under "video effects", change the speed to anything you like.

ps, you will need to cut or copy the grouped effect, open a new movie within the project then export it using "file" "export" choose the export format then save it.  Don't use the "export" tab to do this.

George,

Or just set a range over the collage and check 'Export selected range only'.

UVUli,

I agree with you, it's painfully slow, which is true of many of the built-in collages. Some do respond quite well to individual adjustment, but I use the method suggested by George most often. It's pretty quick. Trying that collage took me a couple of minutes, 90% of which was rendering the collage as an HD MP4.

@ Terry, Great idea, I had not thought of doing it that way.  Next time I will use your approach and save a lot of time.

Many Thanks!

Sounds like a good work around

Hmmm...

It is certainly possible to adjust the complete effect duration with the method described below but by doing so the transitions are also accellerated which means the shadow etc. are not visible anymore..

Does anybody else have another idea?
