Movie Edit Pro 2013 Importing Issues

I recently upgraded and now when I import my video clips, I get a message:

The following file can only be played smoothly on fast systems.

If your system is too slow, please click on convert.  The file will then be converted into a format that can be played better.

If I convert it, it takes forever - 5-10 - minutes to convert it from a .mov file to a mpeg2 file.  If ignore, than it does noting.

This was not the case in my previous Magix Movie Edit Pro 17.

Hi

I think this feature has been around for some time for AVCHD imports to MEP but either they have just invoked this warning for MOV as well or they have "raised the bar" for PC systems specs so that what may have been a fast enough PC is considered too slow for a pleasant timeline preview experience.

Either that or something has changed on your PC system. I presume by "upgrade" you mean you have only purchased the latest MEP.
