Movie Edit Pro 18 MX Plus: How to import video from 2 DVD-Rs that seem to have identical identifications?

I have two DVD-Rs that I made using my Panasonic model DMR-E55P video recorder. One is two hours long, and one is one hour. They have different text disk names and chapter names.  I've loaded the 2-hour one into Movie Edit Pro and it shows up as "DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER Movie 01." (I don't see the text titles I wrote with the disk.)  Then I insert the second one and it has the same title: "DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER Movie 01," but its length is only one hour.

When I attempt to import the second one, Movie Edit Pro simply presents the 2-hour one I already imported.  I think it thinks it's already imported the second one.  My guess is it's confused by the identical names.

But also, I can double-click on the second "DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER Movie 01," within Movie Edit Pro, it spends minutes building playback information and then correctly plays the second video.
But it refuses to import the second video.  How do I work around this?

My hardware is a new home assembled PC: Intel Core i3-2120 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor with16GB of RAM. The OS is Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.

Hi

I would suggest you import the first DVD then export it as a mxv file of the correct resolution and frame rate - File Export Movie, Video As Magix video.

Repeat  for the second DVD.

Create a new project and work with the mxv files you exported.

John

Hi,

Johnebaker has provided the correct answer assuming that you have read the manual and really understand the program (which is what you really should do).  I see that you are a new user, and if you don't really underestand what you have been told to do with this problem, come back and tell us that and we will find a different way to explain it to you.

Good Luck
