Movie edit pro 17 plus HD wont turn on second time

I got Movie edit pro 17 for christmas, and it worked fine the first time I opened the program, but now whenever I try to open it, There is an error sound when the proccessess reach "Initializing media pool" and the program just stops. It never opens, and I have to go to the control center to override and turn off the program. I have tried putting in the disk to "repair" it along with uninstalling and reinstalling it on the computer, but It just keeps doing the same thing. My computer's memory is dangerously full however, so could this be the reason for the problem?

If, when you say your "computer's memory is dangerously full" you actually mean you have very little hard drive space left then, yes, it is quite possible that this could cause the problem you are seeing.
