Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus burning problem- "errNo5 encoding failed"

markharanas wrote on 1/4/2012, 9:37 PM

I've tried a few things to fix this problem on my Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus but nothing has worked.  Movie encoding fails, within seconds of me trying to burn a 4 minute DVD with pictures, text and a few videos. I've had many, many problems burning DVD's in the past but none have been this quick.

I have Windows 7. Please HELP

Are you able to burn anything (not just that project) using Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus?

Make sure you have the latest patch for the Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus as well as the Burn Routines for the program... thats just to make sure you are completely up to date on that title.

As a work around...

Try exporting the project as a MPEG-2 file, lets see if that works. If it does, then start a new project, load in that exported MPEG-2 then try to burn from that file.

MPEG-2 is the format used in the authoring of a DVD.
