AMD Quad Core 2.0 ghtz 8gig DDR2 Ram Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit system:

Program hangs when selecting standard title options. Have to ctr/alt/delete to shut down program.  Other effects/fades work fine.

  1. What is the best way to completely uninstall and re-install software?
  2. Do I have to repurchase the additional codec?
  3. How do I save takes etc.

Hi

1.  Uninstall, run this Magix cleaner tool, delete any remaining MEP folders.

Reboot, disconnect from the Internet, disable any Antivirus and Anti Spamware and reinstall making sure you select the All Users option.

Reboot again then try MEP.

2.  Depends on which version of MEP you have and which codec.  MEP will tell you if and when you need to activate or prchase the codec.

3.  When I use takes I create a seperate folder within the project to put them in. How is in the pdf manual installed in the MEP installation / Manual folder see "Saving objects separately"

To save Takes:

Mark the clips you want "Takes" from, right-click in the video-track and click "Save objects as takes". But they are automatically placed under My Documents / Magix_Movie_Edit_Pro_16_plus.

If I use Takes, I always move or copy the Takes-folder to the Project folder, as Johnebaker writes.
