I cannot transfer AVCHD files to Movie Edit Pro 14. MEP14 cannot recognize the AVCHD files in my Sony HDR SR10. I receive a message that the file type cannot be imported into MEP14 because is not a valid AVCHD format. what I need to do to import my files into MEP14?

I'm editing in a Lenovo  T61p, T9300 core 2 duo processor 2.5 ghz, 3gb RAM, 160 HDD 7200, windows vista ultimate y tarjeta Nvidia Quadro FX570M de 256 mb. With 50 Gb free and trying to import around 120 Mb files and with an administrator account.

The software is Movie Edit pro 14, version: 7.5.2.11 with mpeg2, mp3 and dolby encoder activated, only is missed the mpeg4 encoding to activate.

I'm connecting the camcorder with a USB 2.0 cable, the camcorder activate the USB HDD mode and once that was established the connection, I'm trying to access directly the files inside the camcorder. The files are not recognized (*.mts extension). I tried also first import the files into the laptop with the software provided by Sony and the final result are *.m2ts files that I tried also to import into MEP14 but I receive the same message:
"The file format of  c:\videos\20080808.m2ts cannot be opened by Magiz Movie Edit pro 14!. Please make sure that the drive is not full or write protected. If you do not have autorization to write or read from this path, please contact administrator.

Try to activate MPEG-4 (it's free in Movie Edit pro 14 Plus)! AVCHD usually needs this Codec!

The latest versio of Magix (160 supports for AVCHD files importing and editing. If you do not want to pay bucks to update it. Have a try Aunsoft MTS Converter which is powerful in converting AVCHD to Magix WMV or AVI editable video formats.

You can refer to following guide:
