Movie edit pro 14 and video formats

Good afternoon,

I'm using Movie edit pro 14 plus.

Ii does not accept takes for editing, stated that the formats are not supported.

The formats I have are MTS, MP4 and MOV.

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to have a Codecs to accept these formats?

Or another way to use the formats? (Transfer to another format?)

Which are the formats MEP 14 accepts?

Hi

. . . . Movie edit pro 14 . . . .

Do you mean version 14 released in 2004 or Movie Edit Pro 2014 (MEP 2014)?

If the old version 14 and you have it installed on a computer that has been upgraded to Windows 10, then the program is not compatible and should be upgraded to a Windows 10 compatible version.

If you mean MEP 2014 then if you have upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 or 8, you will need to re-install using this procedure

. . . . Which are the formats MEP 14 accepts? . . . .

These are available in the installed manual for MEP 14 (IIRC) the shorcut to the manual is installed in the same location as the program on the Start menu.  For MEP 2014 the manual is available under Help

MOV files will only be accepted if you have Quicktime installed for both MEP14 and 2014.  However QT has a security issue which Apple are not fixing and they no longer support Quicktime on Windows.   It would be better to convert these to another format.

There are many converters available, some paid for, for format conversion.  I use the MovAvi Video converter (paid for).

Dear Mr. John,

I have MEP 14 installed on a Windows XP laptop.

On the install CD is written "For MS Windows 1000, XP, Vista."

I don't remember in what year I have puchased Magix 14

Could you tell me which formats are supported for MEP 14?

Thansk a lot!
