Mouse mode and automation

conrad-braam wrote on 7/6/2017, 5:10 PM

OK, 2 things , #1 I do not see the mouse mode button in the toolbar

And then, #2 to enter the automation curve drawing mode, is a little confusing i have to double-click on the green volume line - which is what I managed to do - but the problem is adding points to the curve is a really slow process of many double-clicks which all have to be on the line. And actually I want to edit "object" volume curve, not the whole track. I can delete points, but adding points is really intense work. Is this intentionally hard to do ; because I'm doing volume curves the wrong way?

The manual states hotkey is CTRL-4 numpad-4 does nothing - that might just be causing poor learning experience.

(Oh BTW I am tone deaf, so not trying to actually learn to produce actual "music" with the tool, and have no music ability, although I can be taught.)

Hi

. . . . The manual states hotkey is CTRL-4 numpad-4 does nothing . . . .

The 4 key is the one above the letters not the number pad.

Object volume curve see video below:

Aha, CTRL-4 (or) numpad 4 , but still not working.

As you can see, in my screenshot as I indicated, no such button.

Have I got the wrong kind of track, or object kind selected is not allowed mouse mode, or is my Version of MM just not got this feature, since the hotkey does nothing I'm guessing the latter. I just updated last night, so it's really confusing.

Hi John, thanks your patience.

I have the free download, Music Maker version 25.0.2.44 .

johnebaker wrote on 7/8/2017, 4:23 PM

Hi

The free version does not feature the automation curve drawing which is part of the Mastering Suite - see the comparison chart here.

You would need to upgrade to Music Maker Live or Premium to use this feature
