Months later, still can't get my Akai MPK mini to play the keys on any MM17 synthesizer items.

I looked at the PDF tutorials from Ari N. Thanks, but I still get no sound. What do some of you all use as far as midi keyboards that work well with Magix Music Maker?  I use windows vista and have a new computer with windows 7. I have tried everything except call Magix for some one on one help. Is this stuff really that complicated? Thanks for all the help. Seriously, this is not because I am blonde!!!

I hope you have properly installed your MPK mini. As per guide, box contents;MPK mini/Software CD/ USB-mini cable/Safety Instructions & Warranty Information
PC Users: To install the Akai Professional MPK mini Editor, open the contents of the disc, double-click
Setup.exe, and follow the on-screen instructions. To open the editor, connect the MPK mini to your
computer with a standard USB-mini cable (included) then double-click MPK mini Editor.exe.

Note: Always connect the MPK mini to your computer before opening the editor.

If you have followed the above procedure open the Magix Music Maker 17 and locate ASIO driver, from the drop down menu choose yours. Also for Midii input device.(Hope you have already done that)

As you said you still get no sound in that case please got to computer's Control panel and check the settings. Also look right below in computer you will see a Speaker icon, right click on it and check if it is set proper nothing is set to MUTE.

No, still not working. Thinking of selling MPK mini and trying another keyboard. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the helpful attempts.
