mono?

hi, everytime i record sumthing on mm14 i could only hear this on the rite is that a good thing or do u think i should switch my recording setings on momo?
I think i would set it on mono but i cant seem to find were it is so if you have any answers just post them. thank you for your help :)

Hi,
If you have a two channel recording interface then you definitely are recording mono. By setting your software to mono (in the advanced settings when you hit record) you will be able to record evenly across both channels.

Ideally only vocals should be recorded straight up the middle and you should experiment with panning your other instruments in different areas of the stereo spectrum.

In the mean time set your recordings for mono - you must do it each time you start the software and you'll be fine.

I'm still having a problem. When I click "record", "advanced", "mono recording" and then record something, the playback is only static. Help!
