MMM Premium 2016 serious recording lag issues

Hello everyone, I have Magix Music Maker Premium 2016 on a windows 10 machine (I had to upgrade to 2016 as my 2014 MMM wouldn't work on windows 10) I'm finding that when i record vocals the red marker line that is supposed to run with the time lags well behind as much as 5 seconds, I then find I cannot stop the recording using the stop button, the only way I can use the stop/play/rec buttons is to press the Escape button on my keyboard first (it seems to free the buttons up) but bizzarely nothing has been recorded (just a blank track showing) when I press record to do it again the vocals i put down beforehand now start loading onto the track! What is going on?????? I have Asio4all installed and using, I'm using an AMD A4 processor 8GB RAM 1TB HDD 64Bit Win 10.

Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Hi

. . . . Magix Music Maker Premium 2016 on a windows 10. . . . 2014 MMM wouldn't work on windows 10 . . . .

This is most likely Windows 10 has messed up system files and has stopped the programs working correctly.

Reinstall both MMM 2013 and MMM 2016 using this procedure.

NOTE in step 2 clear out the folders for both versions of MEP before progressing to step 3.

Assuming there are no other issues you should find both programs then work correctly.

You can also check if your computer has latency issues - see this article.
