MM2023 crash and ask me to login all over again

JCI-21 wrote on 11/5/2022, 4:22 PM

I took the advantage of black week to buy it for cheap but it wasn't a good decision the program ask me to login every time the program crash (very often) that means you can not use the full program without internet connection what about if I go to a town without internet?.

The other time that I bought the program was Music Maker 2016 and this one is much better than this new MM2023 crap with good features but bad performance.

Hi

Which program is crashing - you have posted in the Magix Movie Studio section of the forum, however refer to Music Maker.

Finale review don't buy Music Maker 2023 if you travel, go to the park or the beach or places without internet connection the program need it in order to function in full version otherwise it reverts to the free version and don't allow you to use the project you save in full.

Hi,

Not exactly true.

First, Music Maker 2023 is free, so you don't buy it.

Secondly, in Music Maker, if you have logged in while connected to the internet, and everything has loaded, downloaded, etc., and exited the program cleanly, that is without a crash, then you can disconnect from the internet and open Music Maker. It will show that you are logged in and you'll see your previously activated Editions on the Welcome screen, even though you are not connected to the internet. Everything will work correctly, except the Store, of course. Opening and saving projects also works fine.

Of course, if it should crash whilst not connected, then you may need a connection to the internet to get back to the same status. I haven't tried this or trying to log in after a crash without being connected to the internet.

Try it. Works for me.

The thing is Music Maker crash to much and is more likely that it will so if you don't have for some reason internet connection the program revert to free version mode so I can't add 3rd party vst on the project I'm working on, DAWs mostly crash due to problems with vsts my main DAW is Mixcraft 9 it crash but not that much and don't ask me for a login because of it, also have FL Studio that let you download a key file in case you don't have internet connection, the only reason I bought Music Maker 2023 is because it was on sale for 29 U$D and it was my first DAW when I was just starting making music, that login thing every time the program crash is a let down, the program should create a login file and when it crash should look for that login backup file that create the first time I introduced my email and password in the welcome screen.

@JCI-21 Write to sales support at infoservice@magix.net and ask them for a refund. If you want the Music Maker workflow with much more stability and features try Samplitude Music Studio instead.

I agree. Complain to Magix.

I doubt that you'll get a refund. Music Maker is free. You never had to purchase an Edition - your choice. An Edition unlocks some features in Music Maker, adds some effects, add some instruments (if you didn't already have them) and gives you some credits to use in the Store; it is not the program. If you have used the credits, likely no refund because you Magix can't get back Soundpools once downloaded.

The thing is Music Maker have a place in my heart the first music maker I bought was in 2002 the last was de MM 2016 and now the MM2023 I don't think after all this year has got any better maybe I'm just asking too much for a program that should be label JUST FOR KIDS or newbies.
