MM Premium (2019) keeps crashing?

jubilee-nunn wrote on 6/14/2019, 8:34 PM

I'm getting so fed up with this software. It constantly keeps crashing/freezing!

  1. It will freeze when I'm doing a big project then will follow by crashing completely.
  2. If I zoom out on the tracks it ZOOMS all the way then freezes and says "Your maximum zoon level has been reached. Project is too large."

I've included my specs from my laptop. Please let me know what I should do.

I would suggest that you need to provide more details on what you were doing when the pgram crashed.

For example, how big is your project. Were you editing a track, how many tracks have you got ? etc

And which version? See under Help, About.

How are your zooming out?

Yeah, mine perpetually crashed too. Every time I stop or pause. Just skips in sound repeatedly then crashes and shuts down. Today it completely erased one of my songs which I have to have done in 10 days. Now I have to start all over. Ugh.

@opusfuzz

Hi

If you have an issue with the program, help us to help you by providing information, in a new post, about the program version and variant, ie Plus or Premium, and your computer specification - details required are in this topic.

. . . . Today it completely erased one of my songs which I have to have done in 10 days . . . .

The program cannot erase a project file with out user interaction.

Assuming you have not turned off auto backup then by default Music Maker will create backup files every 10 minutes while you are working on a project, and they will be in the same folder as the original project file, an example is shown in the image below.

It is also good practice to save regularly with some sort of version naming system ie Save as and add a version number to the file name eg by adding for example v1, v2 etc - see the example below
