Midi Studio projects - use projects in windows 10 compatible program

Hello,

I have used Music Studio 11 Deluxe for many years on my old computer running Windows XP.
This came with 2 separate programs - Midi Studio and Audio Studio.

I can successfully load projects from the  Audio Studio  into my newer Samplitude Music Studio (2014).

However, I would like to be able to load my old Midi Studio projects on my Windows 10 computer.

Is there  a newer Magix program running under Windows 10 that is able to load my old projects from the
Midi Studio part of Music Studio 11.

It would be good to access my old Midi Studio projects using something on Windows 10.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Mark,

I'm afraid such a software isn't available. MIDI Studio was based on one of the last available incarnations of Logic, when Emagic was acquired by Apple, and the Logic Windows version was discontinued in the early aughts. So, MIDI Studio was never compatible with anything after Windows XP, and completely stopped existing more than a decade ago, when MAGIX Music Studio 12 was released.

I have no idea whether such an old MIDI Studio project file could actually be opened on a current Logic version on a Mac. I tend to doubt it. If there's really substantial creative work that you need to recover one way or another, you're probably better off just setting up an offline Win XP machine on some old computer, in order to reinstall MIDI Studio there. If memory serves correctly, there was also a way to dump arrangements or individual MIDI tracks into standard *.MID files. This might be the best way to bring your compositions over to your new system and the DAW of your choice.

Cheers!
