Hi

How and what steps are you taking to record MIDI?

Hi John

I plugged in my digital piano (USB). Then I selected a MIDI sound (digital piano) and pressed RECORD. The strange part is that I was in the middle of a recording session and everything went well. But then, with no reason, the software stopped creating new objects.

When installing the software on someone else's computer, it did work however, but although I resetted, re-opened, re-installed the software, the situation doesn't change on my own computer.

Strange...

Hi

You do not say which version of Studio you are using however in general terms -

Check your program settings that the Digital Piano is detected and selected as a MIDI input device - note the DP must be plugged in before starting Music Studio.

This is how I select MIDI recording in MMM Studio should be similar (exceot if it is version 2015 in which cse it is the same steps, the interface just looks a little different)

HTH

I had this exact problem, the only thing that worked was restarting the computer. I recently upgraded to Samplitude 19, but my next thing to try would have been to open the project in Samplitude 2013, which is still installed.
