Re. MMM16.
I now find that crashes happen when a midi loop is dragged into the
arranger. If I click on the loop to open it and then click one of the
seven pitchangers I immediately get a crash.
This only happens with MIDI loops. Audio loop no problem.
Patient: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this."
Doctor: "Well, then don't do that."
If I understand you correctly, it sounds to me like you are "confusing" the program causing it to lock up or crash.
If you are referring to the numbered bars (1-7) above the mediapool window, those are for selecting different keys or variations of the AUDIO soundpool objects. These should be chosen before the loop is added to the arranger (by dragging or double-clicking).
The numbered bars have nothing to do with MIDI loops, and if you click on them with the Vita MIDI editor open, then I'm not surprised that it would crash.
You can transpose a MIDI object, if desired. That can be accessed through the menu on the MIDI object in the arranger.
I don't have MMM-16, but after searching through the five complete soundpools I have, I could find only a few MIDI files and they are all associated with the LIVID synth.
Your not the only one i have loads of midi file and it plays some not all as it crashes all i no is it has somthing to do with how MM16 plays it back and what it was created on what i have done is taken a Midi file and i am now separating the indevidual parts drums and other and i have done this on a phew and mm16 does this very well until it freezes so i tried it on my xp machine and it worked ok so come on Music maker give vista and windows 7 users some suppor in English and a helpline that is in english
