Hi,

It's called latency. Look up this word in the manual.

Download and install Asio4All and use it as the Asio driver in Program Settings. It will reduce latency.

Same here, have M-Audio Keystation 49. @browj2 it's not the answer, I amusing external soundcard and it works just fine in Ableton and Cakewalk on same plugins. Confirming it is a problem on Win 10 on i7

@DJCro-G

Actually @browj2's answer IS correct. The use of an ASIO driver will always assist in reducing system latency.

To help you directly it would be useful to know the manufacturer and model of soundcard you are using and how it is connected to your computer (USB, Firewire, etc.). As well as more detailed information on your computer; you mention Win 10 on i7, but which version of Win 10 (and is it fully up to date) and which exact i7 model do you have?

You mention "same plugins". Which ones are you using, since these can very easily add latency to the sound?

Stop it. Is this forum really so "useful"? Go away. I want answer and bug fix.

Stop what?

Yes, the forum is very useful to those who are prepared to be civil when they post, and will also answer questions posed by other users who need the additional information they request. Also, please note I did not say the "forum" was "useful" or otherwise in my post, but rather that the additional information requested would be "useful" in helping us to help you!

Unfortunately, as a forum moderator I am not going to go away and, despite your views, there is no bug to fix; latency is a "fact of life" in ALL digital audio recording apps. You were told that ASIO is the only solution to help to minimise audio latency, which it is.

Further, as a moderator, I must formally warn you that addressing ANY other user without showing respect to that user will result in you being permanently banned.

I have an M-audio M-Track audio card. M-audio supplies an ASIO driver for it and it works fine using my Casio keyboard. I expect that M-audio has an ASIO driver for the key station. Check their site.

In MMM you select the driver under Program Settings.
