I'm back recording a song after a hiatus and can't seem to edit my Midi tracks. When selecting pencil to manually 'paint in' a VST note - the line denoting the note is now bright red (as opposed to its usual blue) and doesn't actually add a note, instead it just overlays a red line that doesn't actually add any part of the VST instrument to the track. All existing notes (visual lines) are their original blue from my sessions before (in various shades of blue depending on velocity) but I can't even move those original notes without a new red line trying to overlay them instead. Clearly I have something activated (deactivated?) dome feature without knowing. Anyone know how I can get pencil working normally again?
